Debra Stiglianese Needs Your Help

Donation protected
On New Year's Eve of 2016, Debbie woke up with stroke like symptoms.  Her face was drooping, her speech was slurred and things were not right.  After a trip to the emergency room, it was discovered that Debbie had Large B Cell Lymphoma in her brain.
The location of the tumor on her brain caused a loss in her motor skills and speech.  Debbie had to leave her job as a dental hygienist because she no longer had the full use of her hand.
Debbie had ports placed in her chest and head to treat the cancer.  For almost 7 months, Debbie spent every other week doing inpatient treatment at Westchester Medical Center.  6 months after completing this treatment, Debbie went to an MRI to check on her progress.  She and her husband Mike were thrilled that her tumor had shrunk and she was progressing well.  As recent of May 2018, Debbie's blood work results were very positive and promising.
However, in June 2018 Debbie suffered seizures that prompted a trip to the emergency room and hospital stay.  After a week, she was released and placed on anti-seizure medication.  But she continued to have seizures, despite the medication to prevent them.  This prompted another stay at Westchester Medical Center, where another tumor was discovered on her brain.  A biopsy was performed, in which doctors had to go deeper than expected, causing significant loss in Debbie's speech and motor skills.  The biopsy was positive, and the Large B Cell Lymphoma had returned.  Debbie remained in the hospital for 3 weeks, to receive treatment and rehabilitation.
Debbie is now at home, on several medications and receiving treatment for the lymphoma every other week.    She will soon begin speech therapy, in hopes to recover from the side effects of the biopsy.  If Debbie's current treatment does not yield positive results, her doctors recommend that she begin radiation on her brain.

Debbie has been unable to work, causing a significant hardship to her family.  She is on disability, but this has not been enough to cover day to day expenses, such as rent and food.  Credit card bills have mounting, causing even more stress and angst for she and Mike.  Your generous donations will allow Debbie and Mike to buy groceries, pay for her transportation to her doctor's appointments and rehab, and pay for medication and treatment.
