Dear Friends

I would never ask for money for myself, but I recently learned of a situation involving a senior citizen in trouble.  She has been a live in caretaker for another senior who recently passed away.  The family wants to sell the house they lived in and are basically kicking her to the curb with no severance package and no time to look for another place to live or another job.  Can't get a place without income, can't get a job without a place to live.  She will get her SS in June but has no income until then.  I took in two of her cats which she can't keep and is breaking her heart.  She has to be out of this house by Sunday and is trying to find a homeless shelter that will take her.  I'm trying to help her find a place but would like to be able to provide her with some money to live on or buy a bus or plane ticket up north where she has family, or put her in a hotel until she can find a place.  I don't really know her, but met her when I picked up her clean and well cared for kitties.  She is distraught and feeling hopeless.  If you can help with a few dollars, it would help her so much.  I hate that things like this happen to our senior citizens!
