Hi, I'm Debbie and this is the pickle I'm in.  I had a routine outpatient hernia surgery that went south fast.  My husband found me unresponsive that evening when he checked on me.  Paramedics were called, and I was sent to emergency.  I had to have two more surgeries and was on a respirator for two weeks and in ICU for 34 days.  I was sent to a wound care rehabilitation facility when I got out of ICU, and was there a little over three months.  While in the rehabilitation facility my employer terminated my insurance coverage and offered me COBRA. I tried getting more affordable health care coverage, but with the pre-existing restrictions it wouldn't help me and AHCCCS denied me.  I am out of the rehabilitation facility now,  and am doing home health care to try and get my legs stronger in order to walk again without the assistance of my wheelchair and walker.  During this long process I applied and was approved for long term disability through Social Security. My coverage starts December 1st with my first payment to me on January 22, 2020.  I have had no income for me coming in since October 26th which has placed a hardship on our family.

I am asking for a donation for the amount of one month COBRA coverage which will help me keep my plan.  If I am unable to make the payment and coverage dropped, I cannot appeal to get it back.

I have a long road ahead of me, and when I start getting my disability in January we should be back on track.  

If you could find it in your hearts to donate in order to help me reach my COBRA payment goal, it would take so much worry off.
