Deborah Moulder Cancer Fund

Hi, My name is Deborah (Debbie) Moulder. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Invasive Lobular Carcinoma spread to most of my bones over 3 years ago. My cancer is not curable but treatable as long as they have medicines for me. Eventually the cancer gets smarter than the medicine and the cancer spreads. Last year the medicine quit working after about 1 1/2 years and the cancer spread to about a 6 inch length of my colon, surounding it about a half inch thickness. Because of this my colon was so narrow that I was hospitalized for a good week with a very painful intestinal blockage. For my colon cancer I had to do 9 months of chemo! Then they took me off the chemo because I was experiencing painful neuropathy which I was told could become permanent and disabling. I was then put on Anastrazole (a generic form of Arimidex) which caused extreme joint and muscle pain. I was then referred to Palliative Care ( pain management for the terminally ill) and I was given a 50 mcg. Fentynal patch ( which I was told was around 100 times stronger than Morphine) along with 4 of the 10/ 325 mg. Hydrocodones for daily break through pain. This combination has helped a great deal for now. I am hormone positive so the medicines I am prescribèd for my cancer have to be Estrogen blockers. From what I was told, again this medicine will eventually quit working and I will have to do chemo again or another one of these medicines. I have a tremendous amount of bills from the ER, doctor visits including a week in the hospital. I am divorced and I am a single mom with a 15 yr old son and we live on my disability. We cannot seem to make it through the month on this money much less afford the gas to drive Nicholas 30 miles a day to school and back and pay for gas to get to all of my oncology visits plus $10.00 parking. My son has always been the most supportive and loving son any mom could ask for. He is a straight A ( gifted and talented and AP student) and I am so proud of him! I feel really bad because he deserves so much more than I am able to provide. I'm so tired of not even being able to take him to the movies or out to eat once in a while or give him a little money to do things with his friends. He is very thoughtful and rarely askes to do anything! I was 40 years old when I was blessed with him! I also have a beautiful 29 yr old, married daughter who has blessed me with the most beautiful 3 yr old granddaughter and 1 yr old grandson. She has always been very supportive and they have always jumped in and helped when I need someone to get my son to school or pick him up because of my appointments. When I had to do chemo my daughter would cook a whole weeks worth of meals and we would put in containers and freeze them and all I had to do was heat them up. I don't get to see them as much as I would like mostly because I just don't have the extra money to spend on gas. I also am worried about there being enough money for Nicholas to be taken care of by my daughter and her husband.should something happen to me. He is very goal oriented and I have no doubt that he will get a full scholarship but there are so many other expenses. I pray everyday for healing from head to toe and thank God for all my many blessings. I mostly need money to help with medical bills, gas and parking money to get to my oncology visits ( I have to make frequent trips across town each month) and extra money to help with monthly expenses. I also have no burial plan and would hate to burden my children with this! I have borrowed so much and owe so much to my family and friends! Any donation would help and be greatly appreciated. I have had a very positive attitude from the beginning, which I know is half the battle, but lately the financial burden is getting me down, although I am very thankful to still be alive! Please help. Please share this with your friends and family. Thanks and God bless, Debbie
