Debbie Pearl Irma Relief

As with tens of thousands of people living in Southern Florida, my mom has been displaced indefinitely. If you want to help Irma relief but you don't know who to donate to, this GFM will give quick respite to a woman in immediate need.

Some of you know how amazing my mom is. She has somehow raised seven thoughtful, loving, and honest kids. She taught us to be self-sufficient and to put family first, work second, and community a close third. She plays piano, weaves, and is a joyous woman with an amazing sense of humor. I'm not sure she realizes all the lives she has improved, but they are many.

My mom has helped build a strong and close community in the lower Keys. She works hard every day, never giving up, and never letting setbacks get her down. That community is now, obviously, decimated, and Debbie will help rebuild it as soon as she is able.

Debbie's a fighter and will no doubt land on her feet, but her whole community is disrupted, and along with it, her support system. Our goal is to ease Debbie's displacement and hopeful return home.
