Prayers for Debbi

Please join us in raising support for Debbi's treatments.
As many of you know, Debbi (Deborah Mooneyham) is mother of 4 and "Nanni" (grandmother) of 8. She is a strong, Godly woman whom we love dearly. Debbi has been a breast cancer survivor by history. She was originally diagnosed in 2010. After surgical intervention, along with radiation, she had been in remission for nearly 7 years by God's grace. However, we have recently discovered that Debbi now has metastatic stage 4 cancer (cell type consistent with metastasis from her prior breast cancer) with innumerable bone lesions (throughout her spine and skull).
In spite of this heart breaking news, her faith has remained strong. She continues to be the "glue" that holds everyone around her together, and she is trusting the Lord for His provisions daily. I sat with her in the oncology office the other day as she was filling out her essay-worthy new patient packet. On the line where it asks for religious affiliation she simply wrote the words, "Saved by Grace."
Family and friends are now being notified and we are asking for your help to join us in prayer and support.
She was initially admitted to Duke for work-up and has now completed 2 weeks of radiation as an outpatient following her discharge from the hospital. We have been blessed to put together an excellent team of physicians here at Duke and she is currently considered a candidate for a new endocrine based anti-neoplastic (anti-cancer) agent as a part of a 3 drug regimen.
However, one of these medications will cost more than $120,000 per year. Out of this total, the insurance coverage will potentially approach 70% reimbursement leaving $36,000 uncovered at a minimum. She has been working tirelessly with the pharmaceutical financial assistance options through the drug coorporation and patient advocates. However, at present, she does not qualify for the free medication or low copay programs and we are awaiting a response for an alternative assistance application. As such, we are in a holding pattern with her first months medication stuck in limbo in the pharmacy.
Would you consider joining with us (in any amount) to support Debbi? If we can raise the first $3,000, this will allow us to purchase her first months supply from the pharmacy while we continue to work on other more sustainable plans to cover this need.
One of my mentors wrote a text message prayer over Debbi this weekend with the following words... "Psalm 139:16 You saw Debbi before she was born. Every day of her life was recorded in Your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. So Lord, we stand on that promise and will not allow satan to rob her of one single day You have recorded for her...and You have already healed her because Your word says 'by His stripes we ARE healed!'. Those are Your promises and as Your children we stand and believe that Your word does not return to You void. Thank you for being such a good, good Father to us. In Jesus name we pray".
