Dean's Furnishers Fire Appeal

Donation protected
On Thursday 31st August the local, family run business Deans Furnishers on the Ware highstreet caught fire. The business has been trading from the same location for the past 40 years.

Thankfully nobody was hurt or injured in the fire but unfortunately the building itself and all of the contents within were completely destroyed in this awful event. We are yet to find out the complete loss of inventory.

We at EQ Creative have looked after Deans Furnishers for several years now and are raising money for them so that they can continue trading from another premises, whilst trying to find a new location within the vacinity.

Here are some photos from the Hertfordshire Mercury website

To be clear, the Deans family did not own the building. This is not one of those instances where there is a silver lining of a huge insurance claim. The family business at this stage has been completely disrupted and we are hoping with your help we can get Deans back up and running in the town.

Having said that, if you need any furniture Dean is continuing to trade via his website and your support if you need to buy furniture is greatly appreciated.

EQ Creative have donated their time free of charge and is providing free office space to Dean whilst he gets back up and running. Sacha Bright, owner of EQ Creative and founder of crowdfunding aggregator businessagent.com had a phone call from Dean at 8:30am regarding this awbusinessful incident. Dean was clearly distraught and being the man he is, he was more concerned about his staff than his own welfare, some of which have worked for him for over 20 years. The whole family and locals gathered at the Saracens Head Pub to show their support for Dean yesterday, and we would like to thank the manager for providing free pizzas. It was great to see the local community rallying around Dean and offering their services in any which way they could.

I want to make this clear that although we are connected to Dean via being his friend and web developers, Dean is not accustomed to accepting charity, and has only allowed us to do this if we offer everyone that donates a 20% discount on future items purchased via the website.

We do not have the discount codes at present, however if you have donated, please email us on [email redacted].uk with details of your order and we will credit you 20%.

Sacha Bright says “I am donating £100 to start the ball rolling and I hope you join me in raising £10,000 to help get Dean and his family back up and running. If you know of anyone that has a large shop/warehouse near the town for rent, please get in touch”.
