Dean Holtzclaw ALS medication fund

Hello My name is Corey and i am trying to raise money for my grandfather. My grandfather was diagnosed with ALS in January of this year.  He had been perfectly healthy until he developed this disease.  At his doctor's appointment in June, his physician told him about a newly FDA approved drug called Radicava.  His doctor said that he would be a perfect patient to begin this medication because he is in the early stages of the disease.  This new drug does not cure ALS but has proven to slow the progression of the disease.  The medication will be available hopefully in August or September.  The medication will be very costly since it is a new medication for ALS.  The cost is expected to be $140,000 for a year.  The hope is that insurance companies will pay 80% but it may be even less.  If they pay 80% the out of pocket cost would be $14,000.  He already lives on a fixed income so this amount would be near impossible for him to manage on his income alone.  The money would be used to pay his part of this new ALS medication.  This is the first breakthrough that could give ALS patients a better quality of life. Without receiving this medication, the disease would continue to worsen and decrease his ability to breath on his own and also would cause him to eventually be unable to speak, eat or move.  With the help from potential donors, he would be able to receive thjis new medical treatment and have a better quality of life to spend with his loved ones.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
