Deanna's Medical Bills

Donation protected
On Friday, December 7th Deanna went into the St Francis emergency room with excruciating abdominal/back pain. She was told she had kidney stones.. she was given some pain medicine and antibiotics and sent on her way to pass the stones on her own. On Tuesday around 12 in the afternoon, Deanna was sent home from work with flu like symptoms.. She slept from a good part of Tuesday afternoon until Wednesday evening. Thursday morning at 6:00am Deanna's mom, Francey, took Deanna to the Piedmont Emergency Room with some unbearable pain. (Thank Jesus- because we all know how stubborn Dee can be...) She wound up having to be admitted to the hospital for her kidney stones. The urologist came in and gave her an evaluation/CT scans/Labs and evaluated that surgery was needed due to the kidney stone being so large in size. She asked the urologist "how bad is this?" And he replied to her with "it's really bad.... but it can be fixed." Little did they know the craziness that was about to take place. Surgery was the only option she had to get the antibiotics directly to the kidney for the stones. She wound up running a fever and almost had to postpone her surgery - fortunately it broke and they were able to proceed. Once there - Deanna went into septic shock because the stone was so intense it caused her kidney to stop functioning. They were able to get her taken care of and placed the stent. Everyone was in hopes that this was going to correct the issue. Well - her antibiotics were not working and the infection was coming back. The doctor's came to the conclusion that she also had pneumonia which was making everything worse, another speed bump. Come to find out she did not have pneumonia although she did have a pocket of some sort of infection on her lung. A day later, she was taken back for another CT scan and they discovered an abscess on her kidney. So yet again she is taken into another surgery to place a tube to be able to drain said abscess. As of now the doctors are hoping this will be able to clear the infection so they can go back in and shock her kidney to rid it of the stones because there are still multiple stones that she can't seem to pass on her own. If this doesn't work - the doctor's are coming up with a plan to go back into surgery and completely remove the kidney itself..

As all of you know- Dee is a single mother. And trying to make ends meet while out of a job for weeks at a time while taking care of a child is a very difficult thing to do. Her medical bills and day to day bills are adding up very quickly. Especially at this time of year with the Holiday's.

Completely against her will (because this girl is a "I can do it myself" type of woman) I have made this go fund me account to try and help ease her stress of paying her bills all on her own. So I'm asking for everyone to either share this or donate a little bit to help her and her son.

She is most likely going to have to spend her Christmas in the hospital this year as well so if anyone would like to send cards, please feel free to contact me and I can get them to her.
