Help Save Dean From Multiple Sclerosis!

Dear friends, family and anyone who wants to be part of "Saving Dean":

I am reaching out to you all in the hopes of raising money to help me beat multiple sclerosis. I am hoping to get stem cell therapy (using stem cells from my body) which has the potential to allow me to leave my powerchair behind and walk and dance again with my wife of 41 years.

I have suffered with multiple sclerosis for many years and no medications have stopped or slowed this monster/family wrecker/finance drainer. Finally, I have hope through stem cell therapy.

Multiple sclerosis has confined me to a powerchair for the last 12 years. The disease has left me with the strength of an infant, the dexterity of Pinocchio and the visual acuity of Mr. Magoo. In fact, my family uses a hoyer lift (a hydraulic lift system) to transfer me to the toilet, shower and bed.

I have read/heard about some people who have had stem cell therapy and they have had profound results! The procedure costs about $45,000 which includes airfare, lodging and a traveling companion. The FDA does not allow this treatment in the United States so I am forced to travel to Cancun, Mexico which is where Celltex Therapeutics has a stem cell clinic. It is a distance of 1,600 miles which will be grueling being wheelchair bound, but well worth it. Celltex Therapeutics' webpage is http://celltexbank.com and is the firm where Gov. Rick Perry was treated with stem cells. The link below is the Governor discussing the benefits of stem cell therapy along with a woman expressing her feelings as stem cell therapy being her best chance at eliminating or reducing her MS symptoms.

Most people have a bad day now and then. I sit in my powerchair for 15 hours everyday and this is my good day. My dreams are simple. I want to:
1) dance with my wife again
2) ask my family what would they like to do today.....anything....just so I could be the one doing it for them
3) get in and out of bed by myself
4) dress/put my shoes on myself
5) drive a car again
6) cut my own food
7) take the garbage out/clear our driveway/sidewalk of snow
8) not wet my pants/stop wearing diapers
9) drink liquid out of a REAL GLASS
10) surprise my wife and make the morning coffee

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your consideration in making a donation to my cause.
