Dean and his family need your help!

Dean is a bright, energetic and lovable 17-month-old country boy who loves to climb, explore his world and be outside with his pets. But 10 weeks ago, all of that changed. Dean was struck down with Influenza A, which then attacked his neurological system two days after his mum gave birth to a beautiful baby sister, Ivy. Dean was airlifted to Westmead. The family spent 4 weeks in hospital and it seemed like Dean was on the mend but after 2 weeks home Dean relapsed and had to return to Westmead. Dean has since undergone much medical testing and treatment, and continues to do so as this illness baffles the doctors. His immune system is compromised, and he catches any other viruses that are around which further delays his recovery. This has caused an emotional and financial strain on this young family as Mum and Dad stay by Dean’s side. Dean is in for a long period in hospital which means a continued financial battle for his family.
