Dean Martin Memorial Fund, Organized by his family
On December 24th my father Dean Martin went into Warren Memorial Hospital experiencing bad back pain. He was then transferred to Winchester Valley health hospital for further diagnoses. On Christmas day My mother and Father were told that he had A form of lung cancer and only had months to live. Unfortunately, the next day when my Mother had entered his hospital room to be be greeted by my father whom was talking to his grandmother whom he loved, but had been deceased for many years. He Greeted my mother with, "I love you babe", and then went back to talking to his Grandmother. Minutes later he had a heart attack in front of my mother and they had to bring him back to life. The heart attack did too much damage on his life and survived only three days afterwards. My mother was able to speak to him in the ICU and he was able to communicate with her through head-movements. My Mother asked him if he was ready to go to heaven. It's something we all fear, but he told her he was ready.
The doctors did everything they could for him and we took him off life support the next day on New years Eve, January 31st 2020. As heart breaking as it is to see my father go, It is more heart breaking to see a marriage of 35 years come to end. We ask for help in donations that could help pay for Funeral expenses, a memorial service, and future bills for my mother. We plan to hold a memorial for him soon after covid is over so many of his friends can attend. If you don't have the money to donate, please share, or tell your loved ones that you love them. We all have a limited amount of time on this earth.
Our family is upset, but we will make it through this. We knew he loved us and we loved him. We are at ease knowing he is at peace and know that one day again we will see him in heaven.
Rest in Peace, Dean Wesley Martin- January 4th 1960-December 31st 2020.
Love,
his family.
