Dean Brager

Dean suffered a stroke on August 10th.  He has been in critical care for a week, but hopes are he'll be transferred to another room soon, where he can begin his physical therapy.  At this point he has paralysis on the right side of his body.  The doctors are performing CT scans regularly to monitor the swelling in his head.  The good news is - throughout the past week, he has had made improvements.  He has a strong left handed handshake, can smile and track people visually.  He understands verbal communication when awake.  The neuro surgeon believes he will walk and talk again, but it will be a long road of PT.  Ther e will be ups and downs and times where it seems no progress is being made, but then another breakthrough.  

Dean's bills will continue to rise everyday he's being treated, as well as his normal, everyday household expenses.  His parents are in town from Arizona staying at his house while they tend to his care.  We would like to continue paying his rent so he has a place to go when discharged (as you know, it can be tough to find an affordable place to live in the Puget Sound area these days). :)

He has short term disability insurance and medical insurance, of course, but there are bound to be unknown medical expenses that will need to be paid, so we are asking if you have the ability to donate anything, Dean and his parents' would be eternally grateful.
