DeafBlind Escape Cruise 2

Greetings, Brenda Roberts and Kelly Monahan are DeafBlind and host a wonderful DeafBlind group to go on DeafblindCruise on March 2019. We have 60 DeafBlind Guests sign up and they bring their own support service provider (SSP). We are excited to go on the brand new ship called Carnival Horizon. We will travel up to eight days in Eastern Caribbean in March 2019. We ask for your help to make donations for some volunteer stand-by SSPs who would like to participate. This will help to work with DeafBlind group while DeafBlind’s own SSP gets injured or becomes sick during cruise. The volunteer stand-by SSPs can help to guide DeafBlind around the cruise and islands safety. The volunteer SSPs will also help interpret at the hotel desk and bus shuttle on the day the cruise departs. Volunteer SSPs can relieve an exhausted SSP if needed. We want to hire a Protactile trainer to provide a workshop for everyone on the cruise. Protactile traner can lead protactile social activities to give SSPs a break as well. Some DeafBlind people do not know Protactile yet so this will greatly help the DeafBlind community. The Funds will cover the cruise stateroom for volunteer stand-by SSPs. and one Protactile trainer .
