Helping the children of Haiti

I am raising money for a number of projects in Haiti. I am in the midst of doing a photojournalism essay on an orphanage in Haiti called Ruuska Village and am raising money to return and continue my project. I am also raising money to start a garden in the village. The children at the orphanage receive most of their nutrition through MannaPacks, which are packed with protein and vitamins for optimum growth and development, but they have very few fresh fruits and vegetables at their disposal. In a country with optimum weather for growing produce, we will be planting both a self watering vegetable garden and fruit trees

. Donations will be used in a variety of ways, including seeds, mature plants, gardening supplies, cost of transporting donations, diapers, formula, food and many other items.
