<div>Mijn naam is Dylan, 36 jaar. Al sinds mijn jeugd voelde ik dat ik meer kon bereiken dan wat mijn vmbo-diploma voor me in petto had. Na school koos ik voor het leger en later voor de Rotterdamse Politie. Daarna groeide ik door in de horeca tot bedrijfsleider. Het begeleiden van mensen lag mij en ik genoot van het resultaat, maar ik merkte dat ik nog een groter verschil wilde maken.

<div>Tijdens mijn pelgrimstocht naar Santiago de Compostela viel het kwartje: ik wil het onderwijs in, als docent aardrijkskunde. Aardrijkskunde is altijd een grote interesse of zelfs passie geweest; het gaat over de wereld om ons heen en helpt ons te begrijpen hoe wij zelf in die wereld staan. Inmiddels zit ik aan het einde van mijn tweede studiejaar en ik voel voor het eerst dat ik mijn passie heb gevonden en mijn droom werkelijkheid maak. Alle studiepunten heb ik tot nu toe succesvol behaald en ik merk dat ik enthousiast word van het lesgeven en het overbrengen van mijn passie op de leerlingen

<div><strong>De cruciale Nepal-excursie</strong>

<div>Toch staat me nu een grote uitdaging te wachten. Aan het begin van mijn derde studiejaar is een verplichte excursie naar Nepal gepland. Deze reis is essentieel: de ervaring en de studiepunten zijn nodig om mijn opleiding af te ronden en geen studievertraging op te lopen. De kosten zijn echter behoorlijk hoog, namelijk €2200 inclusief de vliegticket, verblijf en activiteiten dit alles wordt via de Hogeschool Rotterdam zelf geregeld.

<div><strong>Waarom ik jouw hulp nodig heb</strong>

<div>Op dit moment werk ik 32 uur per week als grafisch ontwerper (een baan waar ik met veel plezier mijn creativiteit in kwijt kan), heb ik een verplichte stagedag en studeer ik nog voor docent en moet ik mijn lessen nog voorbereiden. Zes van de zeven dagen ben ik bezig met werk of studie. Hierdoor kan ik simpelweg niet extra verdienen om die 2200 euro bij elkaar te krijgen voor November.
