Hosting expense for a orphan.

Over the summer my husbands' mom got an opportunity that would forever change all of our lives. She got to be a "Host Parent" to a young girl who lived in an orphange in Eastern Europe. While hosting her the family got the opportunity to show her love, fun, joy, their American values,Christian beliefs and culture. She experienced things such as Atlanta zoo, going to church (for the first time) and braves games with tons of other small events. She got to go to the doctor for a checkup, have an eye exam, and a cleaning at the dentist. She went and had her hair cut and highlighted for the first time, and loved having her nails painted. Things we take for granted. She really connected with her host. When she arrived she was very shy and timid from a hard, broken past. In her 5 week stay she made a total transformation with huge strides in her self-confidence. She said her host family was the reason because they showed her so much love, praise, encouragement, and direction. She is really hoping to get to come back for winter hosting but in order for her hopes and dreams to come true we need the community to pull together and help raise 3500-4000.
