Caring for Caleb

Our friend’s son, Caleb, just finished 5th grade and was excited to start middle school. Caleb is an Aggies’s fan and is very active in scouts. In June he started feeling bad and after two months has finally been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. The first step is to get Caleb’s body strong again. This is critical and time sensitive as he needs to gain a significant amount of weight quickly. His body is in survival mode right now and will eventually shut down if he cannot get stronger. A port has been put into him for food and medicine to relieve the constant pain he is in. His white blood cell count is low, and tests are being done to rule out even more serious diagnosis. First and foremost, the family needs prayer to provide peace and clarity. Part of that peace comes from financial support. As you can imagine, even with insurance, the medical costs are enormous. This is a servant family, a Christian family, always doing for others, going on mission trips, showing the utmost faithfulness to our Father. Would you please pray over a decision to give to this family? Their friends would love to see an outpouring of love on them during this difficult time as it mirrors the life they live showing love to others on a regular basis.
