Help support Al's medical fund

Donation protected
On Friday, February 16th, Al drove himself from work to the local hospital's ER Dept because he was having chest pain and trouble breathing. He'd actually been feeling poorly for a week. ER saw evidence of cardiac distress and a chest X-ray showed fluid in his right lung. He was admitted to the hospital for additional testing.  He was quickly moved from a regular hospital room to ICU to keep a closer eye on him.

Sunday, February 18th, started out with a phone call telling me that Al had started struggling in the early morning and his cardiac enzymes were further elevated... and continuing to rise. He was having another heart attack! He was heavily sedated, they rushed him to his 2nd heart catheterization ... this time, they inserted 2 stents to open the main blockage! The heart trumped the lung this time. Thank you, God! And thank you to all the experts involved!

As of today, March 4th, Al continues to be sedated in the ICU. He is making small steps towards, showing signs like moving his toes, moving his head to follow people's voices and squeezing fingers when asked.  Each day the doctors lower the sedation and have him try taking small breaths on his own, in hopes to be able to remove the breathing tube.

This fundraiser is created to help lighten the financial load for Al.  All donations will be used to assist in covering already mounting out-of-pocket medical expenses. Obviously, Al is unable to work and will be unable to work for an undetermined amount of time.

Many people have asked how they can help and this is a way we can all help in a way Al will need it most. Please consider making a donation if you are in a position to do so. No donation is too small (and can be made anonymously if you choose). Friends/family of Al can also help by sharing this fundraiser on social media to help reach those who know AL and may want to help.

Most importantly, please keep AL and his family --Karyn, Julee and Chelsee in your thoughts and prayers . We all know what the power of prayer can do, we have already seen what prayers are doing for Al.  Thank you for all you have done and continue to do to help Al and his family. They are very grateful for the outpouring of love and support.
