<div>Hi, my name is Orlagh Kilbride, I'm from Dublin and along with my family i have called Jamaica my home for nearly 10 years now. We love this Island and the people, I have often heard it called "Ireland in the sun". Jamaica is a developing country with extreme poverty in parts, Hurricane Melissa has caused many to lose everything that they had. Areas to the South and North West of the Island have been completely destroyed and this will result in a major humanitarian catastrophe.

<div>We are asking for donations to distribute among local charities helping on the ground here. That will include the Jamaican Red Cross, Food for the Poor and The Breds Foundation. Donations will be used for food and supplies to help people repair their homes. All donations are welcome and hugely appreciated.
