Jacksons Medical Journey

August 12th 2017 the most amazing little boy I ever laid eyes on entered this world. Jackson was born with Achondroplasia Dwarfism and despite just being little there are other underlying health issues that can accompany it. Breathing and feeding issues kept him in the NICU for 6 weeks and wound up requiring him to get a G Button placed so he could get the proper nutrients he needed. Now that he is finally home his medical journey is far from over. The medical bills from his NICU stay, other tests, my delivery, and prenatal tests are all starting to roll in. More importantly Jackson still needs more tests done. We are working on getting him a sleep and swallow study done, and he just had his baseline MRIs done. Turns out Jackson does have compression of his spinal cord. This COULD be the cause of his feeding, eating, breathing issues. He will be having another MRI done in three months and if there is no improvement he will be having decompression surgery. The surgery will require traveling to the Bay Area. I am currently not working and the hospital bills from Jacksons NICU stay, his four MRIs, and various other tests are starting to roll in and we need help. He still has many more tests to come as well. Anything would help us, and even if you can’t a share would be fantastic. Thank you so much in advance ☺️
