Village Meadows Food Boxes

My name is Laurie Bennett, and I have the privilege of teaching Kindergarten at Village Meadows Elementary School in Phoenix, Arizona. 

Village Meadows is a Title I School. 90% of our students receive free and reduced lunch.  All of our students are fed breakfast in the classroom each morning. On a daily basis, I witness the gratitude our students express for the simplest of gestures. Our goal through this campaign is to provide a box of food for our neediest families, to ensure our students have meals during the two weeks of Christmas vacation when they are not receiving breakfast and lunch at school. 

Last year, through the generous donations of so many, we were able to fill, pack, and deliver 125 food boxes! We have one month to reach our goal!  I know it is a big goal, but we serve a big God.  This is a small way I’ve found to show the love of Christ to my school community.
