David Ulrich's Medical Expenses

On Sept. 29th, 2017, our father, David Ulrich was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma brain tumor. It was discovered after we scheduled a doctor’s appointment for his complaints of a persistent headache as well as several incidents of disorientation, and confusion. The results of an MRI led him to be transferred to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, NH. Due to the rapid growth and nature of this kind of cancer, the neurosurgeon has deemed the tumor inoperable. After another scan, the doctor’s found that he has a brain bleed which now leaves him unfit for radiation and chemotherapy treatment. He has since been moved home to Weston, VT and into hospice care with his family by his side. Our goal is to keep him as comfortable as possible during this scary and unpredictable time.
As the main bread winner of our family, his time out of work has already had an impact on my mother’s and the household’s finances. This fund is for unexpected medical expenses, in home nursing care, household expenses, and when the time comes, funeral and burial costs.
We as a family have come to terms with the fact that we don’t have much time left with him. Many of you know my father personally, but for those of you who don’t, know this; he is the most kind, gentle, warm, generous, funny, and shirt off his back kind of guy we’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing and learning from. He would do anything for his family and friends without a thought. That’s just who he is, and that’s how he raised us. We ask you to please help with whatever you can give.
