Donna's Missions Trips

This is my third year at KU, and so far, one of the most pivotal. I’ve been involved with Chi Alpha Campus Ministries  since my freshman year, under the support and guidenace of Brooke and Alex Graves. This year, I’ve grown exponentially in my own faith, serving as a student leader of Chi Alpha and leading my own Bible studies. That’s not to say there hasn’t been challenges, but by the grace of God they've been overcome.

Chi Alpha has grown as well, and we have planned two separate missions trips: one, over spring break (March 14th-21st), to the Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation in South Dakota; the second, to a boys’ orphanage in the Dominican Republic from June 13th to the 22nd. In both locations, over half of the population lives in poverty.

We’re going to be reaching out to these communities as well as leading service projects at local universities and ministries. With the Dominican Republic especially, we’ll have a focus on children’s ministry and relationship building. I’m so excited for the opportunity to impact the lives of those we’ll meet and be an example of Christ’s love for them. I believe amazing things are going to happen on both of these trips, and that’s where you come in.

I humbly ask for your support. I’m trusting in God to provide support from those who are able to give financially, but I am also confident in everyone’s ability to pray.
