Family & Friends of the DCP Lobos Track & Field Team,
We are in the early stages of our 2018 Track & Field season with 25 student athletes enduring sun, rain, and yes sleet to set personal records and represent DCP with pride (Orgullo).
These students take their personal achievement seriously. It is heartening to watch them delve into the journey in order to achieve results. The support they have for each other is inspiring. They instill the values of DCP: Ganas (Desire), Comunidad (Community), and Orgullo (Pride) and are on the path to fulfill DCP's mission--to thrive as a first generation university students.
As the norm in the education world, our budget falls short of our needs. We are asking for some support to reach our goal of $1,500 dollars.
Your donations will go to support our team for the following expenses:
* Durable pop-up tent--$500
* Additional uniforms (no more sharing!)--$250
* Warm-up jackets/sweats--$500
* Team T-shirts--$250
How are we going to "earn" your donations you ask?
We will be running The Leprechaun Relays next Saturday March 17 from 10AM-Finish. The team will complete a 26.2 mile (marathon) relay as part of their Saturday workout!!!
Join us in person or via Facebook Live. We will be running the relay on the famed San Jose State track--Speed City and training grounds of '68 Olympians John Carlos & Tommie Smith.
