DCI 2018

My name is Hunter Poage, I am a Junior Music Education and Trombone Performance major at Emporia State University and I have decided to audition for Drum Corps this year! I have been listening to Drum Corps since I was a freshman in high school and I was lucky enough to get to see a show live this summer with two of my professors from ESU and to put it simply, it was life changing. I had seen all of the Corps that I watched at the show on Youtube in the past but seeing them live was such a different experience and that combined with some encouraging words from my professors made me decided that I wanted to be a part of that. This would be an amazing opportunity for me and I would be honored if I am able to participate. As far as funding goes, it’s needed in small chunks throughout the year. A portion of the funds I need is specifically for travel, the Corp I am a part of  is the Troopers based in Casper Wyoming. The tution is 550 per month to be paid on the 24th and I auditioned for a few other corps so im a little behind. This tuition pays for pretty much everything for the entire summer including housing, food, equipment, competition costs, and uniform.
