Mastering Motherhood in Madison and Middletown, CT are partnering with Clinton Bible Fellowship in Clinton, CT to re-do, re-vitalize and re-equip the visitation rooms at the Department of Children and Families in Middletown, CT. We believe the foundation of positive family interactions are greatly influenced by their surroundings. The rooms are currently ill-equipped with broken and damaged furniture and toys. There is also a lack of personal hygiene changing stations for the parents to adequately provide for their children. We would like to fix these deficiencies by April 7, 2018.
We are asking for funds to provide the following items:
couches
tables
chairs
rocking chairs (or maybe a glider) to facilitate easier infant feeding
a full plastic high chair that can be sanitized for toddler feeding
a new square table to better fit the area that allows for snacks, coloring, and paperwork to be done
a new entertainment system that can streamline the electronics and take up less space
(2) changing tables with a bar for roll out paper or a disposable pad storage
toy organization shelves, bookshelves, cabinets, and/or cubbies
wall mounting shelves or cabinets to store away board games and cleaning supplies
softer lighting (currently only have harsh overhead florescent lighting, would like lamps)
board books and picture books
age appropriate, skill building, tactile toys to aide in development
new toys without fabric for sanitizing ease
toy buckets with solid sides, no holes to allow toys to escape
working electronic toys such as V-tech or Leap Frog
BATTERIES
crayons, bigger sized, for coloring at all levels (no pencils, there are no sharpeners)
coloring sheets as opposed to books to allow kids to take pictures with them
craft/drawing paper
board to display artwork, possible to cover observation window that is not in use
one or two full plastic ride on toys
