Baby Brayden

My grandson Brayden was born on 7/22/18 with gastroschisis, which is a failure of the abdominal wall to close during development. This eventually leads to the intestines growing outside the body. In most cases the intestines are slowly placed back in to the body after birth and the hole is closed up. This did not happen for Brayden. Brayden was born with a very large percent of his bowel exposed and did not tolerate the initial surgery to replace it back into the body. He endured a second surgery to bring the bowel back outside. Then his bowel began to die, resulting in only 15% of healthy bowel. Two surgeries later he is left with 2 small pieces that cannot be reconnected. He is receiving nutrition from TPN. We are expecting a long stay in the NICU due to other complications that have arisen. Because of this, his parents are unable to work. They also have two sons at home. I want to help them by setting up this page and try to ease some of their financial burden so they can concentrate on Brayden and their other two sons. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
