Hello everyone,
Those of you who know me, know that I don't do a lot of talking. Those of you who know me well know that I talk less about my problems, but I'm at the point now where I need some help. This past year with the close miss of graduating nursing school and now having to repeat many classes in order to reach graduation, has been difficult and the addition of health problems has put another layer of pressure in my world. I am not afraid of work and am working for extra shifts at work and cut expenses. Even with those efforts in place, I fear I need to ask for help from willing friends to help with supplemental income.
Situation1: August 10 the Subaru stopped running and I was forced to scramble, borrow and beg rides from friends. I am grateful to those who were able to assist me in getting to work and car searching. Even a used car is expensive and unexpected monthly payments will be adding to my expenses.
Situation 2: I will be going into surgery on October 7 hopefully, to resolve my ongoing health issues and recovery will not have me returning to work for a month. I'm still waiting to hear about disability, but even if I receive the the maximum amount given it will not cover expenses. I'm afraid of what will happen with that large a gap since I am already struggling to make ends meet. I have cut expenses even though I am not prone to being frivolous.
Situation 3: I have finally been accepted to a nursing school that will accept me as an advanced student!! I am eligible for financial aid but the drawback is that I have to be enrolled. In order to enroll and be registered, I need to submit $250. Original date was August 29 ( fifteen days after receiving the acceptance letter!) but I asked for and was granted an extension of October 20. Now I just have to come up with the money!
Writing this was difficult but I feel pressed and when this was suggested, my friend told me that those who care about would want to know and perhaps help. I want to also thank Beanie for offering to help with incentives.
