Medical trip to Mayo Clinic

Thank you so much for your interest in helping me!! As many of you know I have been battling Factor V Leiden, with active blood clots in both legs (DVT), for about 4 years now and it is a DAILY BATTLE. The clots in my legs cause extreme pain and swelling, making even grocery shopping a painful experience. I have been hospitalized many many times (most recently 2 weeks ago, as it turns out purple legs are not a good thing, lol) and have tried changing medicines when my doctors have tried different approaches. Adding even more difficulty, we also discvoered I am allergic to Heprin, a widely prescribed medication for my disorder. Last year, I also had a vena cava filter put in, to prevent clots from reaching my lungs (pulmonary embolism). It has since become clogged. Due to my clotting disorder, my doctors here say surgery to clean it out is not advised. Now for the fundraising part....I recently requested an appointment with Mayo Clinic in Minnesota and they called me today saying they want to see me and think they can help. Their rep that called said they wouldn't have me waste time and money coming up there if they didn't think they could help! I can't tell you how exciting it is to here that!!! They want to see me soon, September 8! Tim and I will leave our little Wyatt (2) here with family. Tim works hard as a truck driver for Fred's and I am unable to work. The blood clots in my legs make it impossible to stand or sit for long periods of time and require me prop my legs up often (to bring swelling down)....not very condusive to working outside of my home, HA ;). The money we raise will go towards our transportation to and from Minnesota (probably fly), help supplement a week of income for Tim (with 3 hospital stays this year already he is out of paid leave time), a hotel and meals for a week while we are at Mayo (it's not just a one day appointment as they are very thorough), transportation to and from Mayo daily, and any co-pays they require. I cannot tell you how excited and grateful Tim and I are about this opportunity!!! I have been close to death and the Lord is keeping me here. He makes a way when there is no way. Above all else, please pray for clarity and knowledge and guidance for all involved in my medical journey.
