Hi I am Smokey. I am 3 years and 4 months old. I have a loving brother and parents. I am not spayed/neutered, I did not have my shots yet. I was going to see the vet to get everything I need this weekend.

Tuesday, (07/15) I started to feel sick. I have some weird stuff going on. Mom noticed that I was not myself when she got home. Mom took me to an emergency vet. My temperature was dangerously high. They were concerned of Peyrometra. It's infection in my uterus. They would not help me because my mom did not have the money to pay upfront.

Wednesday, (07/16) my mom came home. She was giving me lots of pet and telling me how much she loves me. Mom wanted to cuddle so Mom tried to move me to the bed when I accidentally lost control and leaked. Mom called Grandma, they took me to an Urgent Care. I was examined and they confirmed I have an Open Pyrometra. I also have lost blood but I have not peed or pooped any blood or Vomited. The vet is hoping I can stay strong to get the surgery done tomorrow 07/17/2025.

The problem is.. my parents might have to surrender me if they can't get $3000 to cover my surgery, medicine and hospital stay.

I do not want anyone but my parents to be the ones to take care of me. I DO NOT like other people. I barely get along with my grandma. The vet even calls me "Spicy" and "Very Feisty". My parents have been through a really rough financial patch and that's why I was going to get fixed up this weekend.

My mom will upload the medical documents if you want to see what happened at the Urgent Care.

I just know that if my parents have to give me up, I would not be happy like I have been. My life with them is all I ever had and all I ever want. My parents have given me the best they can. I also know that my feisty and spicy attitude will not be appreciated by anyone but them.

It has taken a lot of pride for my parents to do this. To ask for help.

UPDATE- I was able to get my surgery.

Friends Of PACC was so helpful. someone who works there saw my mom's GoFundMe so they knew what was going on.

we are going to keep this up for in case we need additional financial assistance with my recovery from this emergency surgery.

I really want to climb and sleep in my favorite spots of the house.
