Hurricane Harvey Relief Howard Fami

You never think that your family will fall victim to a natural disaster but unfortunately so many do. My family is now one of the many impacted by hurricane harvey. I never thought that our house would flood and we would lose so much. We have insurance but it doesnt cover this type of flooding and we are now trying to figure out how to repair our lives. My husband, 18 month old baby and myself have been fortunate enough to stay with relatives but we would love to have some normallity back. The flood water rose into our house about top cabinet level and ruined the house and most of our property. We have a rental property and the landlord deemed it uninhabit able and we were forced out. Any amount would help our family out. I really want to replace our 18 month old baby girls items (her outfits, furniture, toys, food) first. It is the hardest on her and we are trying to make things as normal for her as possible. We also lost our car in the flood parked in the driveway. The water current was so strong that it actually moved the car sideways. This devasting hurricane has hurt so many people and ruined a lot of lives. We really do appreciate any help that we can get. I cant believe that so many strangers are helping eachother out. It is truly amazing. Luckily we had some people donate outfits for our daughter so she has some clothes at the moment. We will use the money donated to us to rebuild our lives( rebuild our personal items back up, rebuild our babies stuff back up, find a home to move into, get a car back, replace food, replace photos, replace all that we have lost). We werent able to get to our house for several days and when we arrived the water had already done its damage. We are fortunate that we all got out okay and only have property loss. Although it is starting to sink in that we lost our home and have nothing to go back to.
