The Hoke Family Recovery Fund

The Hoke Family is so incredibly blessed and we are all so grateful that Dayna is alive and on the mend. Dayna is married to Derek who is a member of the Park City Fire Department and we are so grateful he was home with her that night to save her life. Derek is amazing at his job and is always so helpful when it may come to anything you could need. Derek works everyday to help people in situations like this everyday and it wasn’t easy for him to be on the other side of trauma. As a couple Dayna and Derek are always willing to help or be there if you need them. Their children are Max and Adi and Dayna does everything she can to make sure their kids are always well taken care of. Dayna is an amazing friend and I’m so grateful she is alive and I still have her as a friend. On Wednesday, September 27th Dayna experienced a normal day with her husband Derek, her son Max, and her daughter Adi but at the end of the night while getting ready for bed Dayna went into sudden respiratory failure and stopped breathing. Her hesband Derek began CPR and called 911. Derek performed CPR for over 10 minutes until first responders were able to arrive. Dayna wasn’t expected to live or recover to a place that would allow her to have the life she had but thankfully she didn’t experience any brain damage or brain trauma. Dayna was lifeflighted to the Intermountain Medical Center and they were able to bring her pulse and rates back up. After arriving at the hospital she received dozens of scans and was placed on a breathing machine and oxygen. Because of the extended amount of time CPR was given Dayna now has severe bruising and chest trauma. Along with all of the other treatments and medications she’s been given it isn’t always easy to complete daily tasks that used to be a breeze. Dayna had been sick the weeks prior to this event and had been going to doctors but they overlooked the idea that she could have pneumonia which is what caused her to go into respiratory distress. Now that Dayna is home and her family is settling back into their new normal the medical bills have begun to arrive and with Derek taking some time off work to help Dayna during her first week home they are in need of our help. Please feel free to reach out and share this post but the best way to help right now is to make a donation to this account. Let’s help the Hoke’s with these thousands of dollars in medical bills and let’s help get Dayna well again. Please share and give what you can, thank you and god bless!
