Dawson Family Fire Fund

Hello! My name is Shemena Campbell, I live in Lake Oswego, Oregon, and I'm the niece of Jill Dawson. The Dawson family (Jill, her husband Art, and their two kids) lost their home and almost everything they own in Glen Ellen, California to the massive wildfires in that area. They escaped with their lives, their dog, and one of two cats (if you've seen the other kitty, please leave a message here!) They've had to evacuate three times and haven't even been able to return to the site of their home yet, but we've seen pictures and the house is completely gone. It's devastating to all of us, because thier house was the place where so many of our family memories were shared, and the community of Glen Ellen's memories, too. But as I told my kids, it's not the house that was special, it's the people who lived in it. We are so grateful that they made it out.

Right now they need money for clothing, food, shelter, gas and cell service. A laptop computer would be nice, too. Anything you can do to help this wonderful family will be greatly appreciated.  Jill is the beneficiary for this account, and will be able to withdraw from it directly, and when this crisis isn't as all consuming, hopefully update us. Please be advised, though, that her cell service is spotty!
