“A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal.” ― Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being Free

My name is Jodi and I am creating a donation site for a dear friend originally from Aledo, Illinois. I would like to ask you to consider helping Dawn Winkler-Kinateder (Samantha VanZant on Facebook) with some overwhelming challenges she is facing regarding health and home.

Dawn was forced to take a break from her professional life in 2014 due to a number of medical issues (DVT-deep venous thrombosis, chronic pelvic/SI pain, May-Thurner Syndrome, endometriosis and sacrococcygeal dysfunction). The health challenges she faces everyday have left her in an emotionally and financially draining and difficult position. She is uncertain if the future holds amputation of her leg and the medication that she needs to use and has been on for almost a year that has saved her leg in the past is going from $30 to $525 for a 90 day supply after insurance. She will need to be on this medication for the foreseeable future and is currently having a very difficult time obtaining it. Dawn’s DVT, or blood clot, extends from belly button to ankle and though she has made progress over the past year going from being unable to walk at all to being able to walk a very short distance, she can by no means live a normal life at this time and has a long way to go with recovery. In the event that it gets worse or simply cannot heal, she may face amputation.

Dawn has been a champion in helping others. She has spent more than two decades successfully fighting for basic parental rights in Washington, Colorado and California without any financial compensation. She ran a non-profit organization for over 10 years dedicated to health freedom, helped parents in need of legal help keep their children, helped 32 homeowners save their homes from the State of Colorado Department of Health, and has been a dedicated champion for freedom and individual liberty. Dawn has been a tireless warrior for truth, parental rights and medical freedom and she needs help and support now.

Please consider helping Dawn cover outstanding medical bills, medical supplies including her anticoagulant and co-pays. Her family is struggling to make ends meet since her being forced to leave work in 2014 over physical issues. They need help with the basics, food and shelter, and are hoping not to have to give up their home over this unfortunate medical situation. As many of you know, Dawn lost her daughter, Hailey Lynn, 22 years ago but is fortunate to have a 20 year old son, Levi, in college right now. He has one more semester to graduate and one of Dawn’s concerns is that the daily stress of what it takes to care for her on top of the financial stress the family faces at this time may jeopardize her son’s future. Dawn’s son Levi and her husband Dave have had to assume all responsibilities that Dawn took care of around the house for the past year as well as take care of her with no help as they live a very long way from family. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated and will go a long way toward helping someone who has not only done her fair share for others in the past but hopes to get back to helping others again one day very soon. Please consider helping Dawn, any amount is a tremendous help at this time.
