It started as a simple sinus infection, and then everything exploded into a life threatening situation for our dear friend. After spending a week in the ICU on a ventilator and being non-responsive, Dawn woke up! The doctors had actually given Dawn's family little to no hope for her recovery, so it is nothing short of a true miracle.

Now comes the long road to recovery. Dawn is self-employed, running a dog kennel and boarding horses. There will be a few more weeks of recovery in the hospital and then even more time spent in a rehab facility to get her strength back. It could be quite some time before she is able to work again, and we want her to focus on healing - not on bills.

We are grateful for her medical insurance, but it doesn't cover everything. Any money donated on her behalf will be used for those extra items not covered and to help support her financially during her recovery period.
