On June 9th, 2024, my mom (Dawn France) and I (Denea France) were driving to upstate NY in the rain and were in a serious car accident on the I-89 outside Burlington, Vermont. We were both severely injured and found unresponsive at the scene. After months of recovery, surgery, treatments, and rehabilitation, I’m grateful to say I’m close to a full recovery. Unfortunately, my mom is awake but cannot respond, walk, talk, or eat. I’m working with lawyers to ensure she receives the proper care in a nursing home, as well as dealing with our significant medical expenses that insurance hasn’t fully covered. Dawn worked at Verizon and is a member of CWA.
