Dawn Nagel’s Cancer Fund

Dawn Nagel has touched the lives of many through the love she has for her two sons, Mason and Colin, and her above and beyond support for the Green Hope football team over the past few years.  Her bubbly personality and kind soul is ever present and her love for life has inspired all that she encounters.  Dawn has bravely fought breast cancer for 8 years.  Her first battle with breast cancer was successful and it stopped spreading for a period of time. However,  last year a scan showed it began to spread again.  Her family and friends have been extremely supportive through the journey taking her to and from chemotheraphy and providing her endless love and support. Last week while Dawn was getting her regular blood work check up the nurses noticed signs of Jaundice and she was immediately admitted into the hopsital and had a  MRI scan. The news was not what we had hoped for or ever imagined,  the doctor and nurses explained that the cancer had spread and that Dawn's liver was shutting down with no option available to place a stent that could preserve her liver. Dawn was told that she had two to four weeks to live. While we ask that thoughts and prayers be sent to Dawn and all of her friends and family, we ask that donations be made to the family to help pay for the extensive medical bills that have incurred during Dawn's treatment journey.  Dawn's legacy and love for life will always be remembered and carried on through her children, family, friends, and Green Hope Football team.
