Dawn Curtean Fought for Life

In November of 2015 my mom was diagnosed with Small Cell Lung Cancer. It went into remission for a short period of time before coming back again. September 2017 she was out to eat with my younger sister and brother when she had a seizure; we later found out the cancer had spread to her brain. She completed 3 weeks of radiation to her brain as well as 1 round of chemo. Heading in to her 2nd round she completed 1 day and by the next day she just couldn't do it anymore. Thursday, January 4th she was taken to the hospital where they found that there was swelling in her brain. Towards the end of her 3 week stay she received an MRI where they found the tumors had grown. She has reached her maximum of radiation and Drs think chemo will only make it worse. She was finally released from the hospital to be in the comfort of her own home and most importantly with her babies (26, 20, 11 and 7 year old + 5yr old grandson). When asked how much longer she may have Drs estimated weeks-months. Many people have asked what they can do and where they can donate. All the money that is raised will go towards any medical supplies/bills as well as house bills, food, and any home care items we may need. Taking care of 6 people (myself included) is difficult with the amount of income that has been lost. I truly appreciate all of the help we have received this far, as well as the positive thoughts, vibes and prayers! #FuckCancer
