Dawkins Family

Donation protected
My sister, Shawntay Dawkins has been married to Troy Dawkins for 5 years.  A few weeks ago they both had gotten really sick and went to the emergency room.  Shawntay was released, however, Troy was admitted to the hospital with heart complications.  He has been in the hospital since then and is currently having an open heart surgery to save his life.  Shawntay gets up early to work, then goes to the hospital to be with Troy as long as they will allow her to stay, then she goes back home to work more hours.  Since they are down to one income she has no choice but to continue to work during this challenging time.  Often times, she has to call off work to attend to her husband.  My other sister and I would like to raise money to help alleviate the stress of bills piling up while she is supporting her husband.  We want to make sure that when Troy is released, they will have a home to go back to where he can be comfortable and get better.  I know that due to the current pandemic many people are struggling in many different aspects but any amount of money you can spare for the Dawkins family would be extremely appreciated.  We have faith in God that he will see Troy and Shawntay through this and give Troy a full recovery.  We also pray that God would give them strength and peace during their journey.  Please join us in that prayer. Thank you!!

Update #1 (11/23/2020):
Troy is going through an abnormal normal.  Meaning, it's normal to be on life support a few hours after open heart surgery.  However, he has went over the normal amount of time and its going on the 4th day.  He is still in critical condition depending heavily on life support in the ICU.  Troy is still fighting and making very small steps to recovery because his organs were severely damaged.  The surgery went well, which was the valve in the left side of his heart.  But now the right side is not responding well to the fix, so his heart was enlarged, his lungs are being totally supported by an ECMO machine, and he is on heavy meds and sedation to keep him comfortable.  This is dangerous because they wouldn't know if he had a stroke if he sleeps all day, or if he is losing any brain activity so they have to lower the meds, which means he can feel all the tubes and get uncomfortable.  He responded with a small head nod to a few questions but has a very long road ahead.  Please continue to pray with us for his recovery and to pray against COVID as that is still a major threat for him considering his condition.
