Davis Strong!! Help Joey Davis Beat Cancer's A**

Donation protected
He's absolutely the true love of my life, and BAM I am now faced with the thoughts and fears of loosing him. You see, he's been diagnosed with stage 4 squamous cell carcinoma. "Throat cancer". We have only begun meeting all our doctors and getting prepared for treatments, which we know for sure he'll have to have at least 35 radiation treatments, and 3 rounds of chemo. We are both being very positive and he's being amazingly strong, and has the greatest attitude going into this. However, a few days after my husband's diagnosis, Dandy, one of our 8 animals came up to him to give him love and it was at that moment he said it all hit him. He said that's when he broke down into tears, knowing that if something happens to him, I can't take care of all these animals, much less my family on my own. That led to thoughts of myself and our 3 boys. He works 60+ hours a week to provide not only for me, but our 8 animals, and 3 sons. My oldest is in graduate school getting his doctorate and we try to unburden him as much as we can by helping him financially. My Joey, he tries to do everything himself, and for everyone around him, but the cancer doc has said he needs to prepare to be out of work for a few months. To be honest, we, like so many other's haven't prepared for him to be out of work. He's always been the bread winner and although I do work a full time job, we've never counted on my income to support us. You see, I am a school bus driver, and truly love what I do, but mostly worked for the insurance.  Joey, he works a full time job as well, but also has his own business here at our home to help ends meet.

We assumed that neck cancer was a smoker's curse, but my husband has never smoked a day is his life. A part of me questions why this happened to him, but life has a funny way of working. I've noticed he has hugged his boys a little more, and become for affectionate towards others. I guess you could say I'm trying to look on the bright side.

His fight is just beginning, but medical bills, and LIFE aren't gonna just wait for him to beat cancer.

We will be facing significant challenges in the coming months. To ease the financial burden of treatment, medical bills, and unexpected life events, I am asking for help raising funds to help with his fight.

My husband is stubborn, if there is a bill that needs to be paid, he will attempt to work to pay it off until he passes out. I want him to focus on beating this, not attempting to work 40-50 hours while going through radiation and chemo.

We hope that you will join us in Joey's fight and share his story.
