David's Christmas wish for an English Bulldog
Donation protected
We shared our story with some friends and one of them suggested we start this gofundme page for David, our Autistic 7 year old son who has been obsessed with English bulldogs for the past 2 years! He is autistic and very sensory driven. He loves soft and furry things, and loves to cuddle.
He loves his friends, but with distance learning and not being able to build friendships like normal, he is very much alone, (except of course for his best friend and sister Abby). Abby is able to FaceTime with her friends and plays video games with them, but David really has no one and we have begun to see how lonely he is. That loneliness has begun to take its toll and we have seen regression in David on many different levels. It's been heartbreaking to watch. We know if he had something to cuddle and call his own things could be different.
We would really like to get him an English Bulldog for Christmas. It is literally the only thing on his list. We won’t give it to him on Christmas due to the craziness, we would let him know and then give him the actual dog in January. We know to get a good one it’s a at least 2-4K (which we don’t have). But if we could find a
Young Female English bulldog (3-6 months) or even a female puppy that would be reasonably priced and from a reputable breeder, that would be a huge answer to prayer. We don’t need a dog from champion etc. We only want a family pet.
We won’t be showing them or breeding them!
This is literally all he wants for Christmas. His room is all English bulldogs and his favorite stuffed animal is an English bulldog. The sweet boy is obsessed and we would like to make this happen, and based off of what many of our friends have said, they would like to help make this happen as well.
If you know of a breeder or someone who is selling their dog, would you let me know? There are so many scammers out there it’s sad. So I’m hoping someone will be able to share a legit name or number of someone with me. We are willing to travel if need be. We were able to meet the cutest English Bulldog
Pup in Mississippi. She was adorable and out of our price range, but you can see the joy on David's face. What blessed me the most, was that when the puppy left his lap, David reached for his English Bulldog stuffed animal and wanted to share it with the puppy and play fetch. He took one of his most prized possessions and was eager to share it with a puppy that wasn't even his. Even in the 10 minutes we spent with that puppy we saw a huge amount of life come back into David's countenance. It made this mama's heart so happy and thankful.
If you do decide to donate, THANK YOU ahead of time for making our sweet boy's dream come true!
If you aren't able to donate, would you please join us in praying that God would provide us with just the right (and healthy) dog for David? We know God has the perfect pup, perfect place and perfect timing. We are just walking this road with faith.
Merry Christmas to all of you during this incredible season of love!
Thank you again!
