David's Palliative Care

As some of you may know, my dad (David Miles) was returning home to the US after years of working abroad. During the Christmas period while on a stopover in Ireland to spend time with us, he was admitted to hospital with severe pains.
After 3 weeks in the hospital, Dad was given the diagnosis of Stage IV cancer, which has now spread to his neck and lungs. The cancer is so advanced that the doctors were shocked to hear he had been teaching up until a few days before his trip. Dad was discharged a week ago for palliative care at home, with a life expectancy of 2-3 months.

Because he is not an EU citizen and was only visiting Ireland, the medical costs are sky-high. In one week at home, his prescription meds have cost nearly €1000 and hospital fees are €1200 per night!

Along with the medical bills, I have also had to stop working completely in order to care for Dad full-time at home which makes things tight financially.

This is a request to all my family and friends for financial help during this difficult period. Any donations will go directly to his medical costs and on-going care for the next few months. If there's any funds left over it will go toward the funeral expenses as and when this becomes necessary.

If you would like to help in any way, we would be very grateful. Thank you in advance for your support, prayers and positive thoughts during this time.
