Hello everyone, my name is Kyle. David Crumpton has been one of my close friends and family members for the past few years. For those of you who don’t know him, David is a father of three, Tennessee native who always goes out of his way for the better good of the people around him.
Last Saturday, David had a bike accident, while out in Knoxville coaching a mountain bike tournament. He and fellow coach, Steve, hit the course before the kids on Saturday morning. As he was a couple miles deep in the trail, he came across a berm that threw him off his bike. David shattered his left hand, broke eight ribs on the right side of his left side, and punctured his lung. Like the champion he is, David walked his bike a mile out of the course, before being rushed to the ER in Knoxville.
Now back in Nashville, David’s recovery is going to be a long and difficult road. The treatment for this kind of accident is bed rest and as little movement as possible. Healing the breaks in his bones is a slow process that only takes time... Unfortunately, David’s job as a home inspector (Inspector Dave) is extremely hands on; he will not be able to work for some time. As the main provider in his household for his wife and youngest daughter, this weighs greatly on his heart and mind.
We are looking for your help, in any way possible. You can give time, meals and money.
His wife Sunny, runs her own business, and is struggling to juggle the balance of work, bills and holding the role of two parents. While she’s so thankful he is safe and well, filling David’s shoes is almost impossible.
David is an integral part of Nashville, from the biking scene, to being the most well known (and most easily spotted!) home inspector, an active father in Dad’s Alliance at the University School of Nashville, and as a friendly face around town.
Let’s raise enough money to cover two months of school tuition for David’s youngest daughter and take a chunk out of his medical bills. Let’s give enough meals so Sunny doesn’t have to worry about cooking dinner after her 70-hour workweek. Let’s provide enough love so that David feels the generosity returned that he so often gives to others.
