In October of 2017, David was diagnosed with head and neck cancer. This resulted in three very painful surgeries that he weathered fearlessly.
David and his wife, Jenn, were going for what they felt was a routine checkup in Lexington, only to find a mass on his lung. As we can all imagine, this was a devastating blow. David was admitted to surgery to remove the mass from his lung a few days later. Yet another surgery to weather in a few short months.
They have moved his treatment plan to Vanderbilt and those plans are forthcoming. For now, they are most pleased with the HOPE that Vandy fights for and their willingness to work towards a cure for his cancer.
Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
If any of you know anything about David Brinkley, you know he will FIGHT for YOU:) David is loyal and cares deeply for all that cross his path. He is NOT AFRAID to stick up for the least of us and champion their cause.
David and Jenn share three children and many precious furry children. David wants to see three more states on his bucket list. He’s been to 47 but hasn’t traveled to Alaska, North Dakota, and Montana.
They have already incurred substantial medical bills and there are more treatments ahead.
He and Jenn are truly kindred spirits that share a Faith to Fight. I truly believe that they will feel our love through the outpouring of well wishes and most certainly through monetary support of their fight.
