Some of you maybe remember earlier this year when my dad (David Mau) was diagnosed with stage 3 fast growing Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. What you may not have known is after 5 months of steady chemo treatments, during his final scan, the doctors discovered an entirely new cancer had developed in his lungs. He battled this cancer with series of pin-point laser radiation sessions, but it was only weeks after he finished these new treatments that we received the worst news of the year. My dad’s Lymphoma had returned and turned more aggressive than the doctors originally anticipated, and only last month they a discovered a new baseball sized tumor in his abdomen. Now onto battling his 3rd cancer diagnosis this year alone (and 5th diagnosis in his lifetime), David is facing more new chemo treatments along with a STEM cell transplant, forcing him into hospitals and clinics and out of work for months. After what will be 10 months of time away from running the family business and countless hospital bills, the financial aspect of cancer has started taking a toll on my family. With the next few months staring him down, the last thing my dad should have to worry about his how he’s going to face this financial burden. I’m unable to put on a benefit myself, but instead I’m asking my facebook friends, family, and acquaintances who have the ability to donate for David’s GoFundMe page to help our family through this difficult time.
