David Vassey Cancer Treatment

Donation protected
David Vassey was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer on July 21, 2016 at the age of 55. Since the diagnosis, he has had several hospital stays for a week at a time, making him unable to work. He has gone through all treatment options that are available for him and it was recently discovered that his chemotherapy treatments were not working like expected. He was given the choice to let this terrible disease overtake him or to fight, and he is a fighter! He opted to participate in clinical trials in hopes to have more time with his family that loves him so dearly. He will begin the clinical trials this week (the last week of June) in Dallas. He will have to travel 2 hours from home to receive the trial treatments 3 to 4 days a week for a 6 week period. The costs of the trial add up quickly on top of the gas and hotel stays needed and everyday living expenses. Right now there is no known cure for pancreatic cancer, however people can live 5-10 years with the right treatments. This man has been a rock for everyone who knows him. He is a selfless and caring father, grandfather, and friend. Please pray for him and his family during this time and give as you feel led. Even small donations are extremely appreciated!
