Yesterday we lost a great man peacefully in his sleep after a short but tough battle.
I've never met a prouder father than spider and I know this is devastating for his wife Kerryn, daughter Brooke and my great mate Nick also known as "Spider"
Big Spider was known and loved by many in the racing industry and also his beloved PFC where he spent his most enjoyable moments of his life watching his best mate Little Spider play footy and cricket.
No one ever had a bad word for Spider and he never had one back. A true gentleman and a true Aussie battler.
Now it's time for Nick to stand up and be strong for his family and the last thing he needs is the added pressure of the many expenses that go with the plans he must make.
We must all get behind this family and donate what we can. Think of it as a carton of VB ($50) or even a couple of cans ($10) to have one last beer and help out his family because you know he would do the same for yours
