Hello. My name is Michelle Holms and I am Angela Shaw’s sister (David’s sister-in-law). As some of you may know David Shaw and family have been through a lot over the last couple of weeks. David was admitted into Kingwood Hospital on Sunday September 2, 2018 with major health complications.
For those of you who don't know the Shaw family. David is the youth pastor at Heights Baptist Church in Liberty, Tx. His wife, Angela, teaches one year olds and they have 2 young boys.
He has been diagnosed with a genetic high triglycerides syndrome that causes his triglycerides to go up in a range that is dangerous and sometimes fatal. He was intubated and under sedation for a week while also going through dialysis daily to try and remove the triglycerides from his bloodstream. His health complications due to the syndrome are pancreatitis and renal complications that they will not know the extent of until his numbers come down. He will probably be in the hospital for awhile longer, but is now awake and able to respond to people.
We would like to thank everyone that has already been up to the hospital or taken care of a need for the family or prayed for David. Angela can feel everyone’s prayers and she knows God is in the business of miracles. As we all know hospital stays are expensive and they still have a long road ahead of them. How you can help…
