David Seman charity fundraiser for Shelter

I committed fraud by forging David Seaman's autograph to try to make £5 on Facebook Marketplace.

The picture was so heavily ridiculed in the Twittersphere that it eventually reached David Seaman himself who mocked it further. Following this interaction the picture was shared all over the internet and even made international news.

I decided to try to capitalise on this and put the item for sale on eBay with the proceeds set to go to the homeless charity Shelter. This resulted in a £5100 winning bid which was incredible. However, upon closer inspection of the bids, the extremely high ones turned out to be local people duping me to teach me a lesson for trying to make £5 in a dishonest way on Marketplace. The highest genuine bid before the fake profiles began bidding silly amounts was for £150, but because of how high the fake bids were I've exceeded my selling limit and it won't let me offer this person the item. If this was you, contact me and I'll send you the picture for your outstanding effort so far.

My problem now is that I feel like I owe Shelter £150 because it was my mess that caused them to miss out on this donation.

I am asking you to give anything you can to Shelter because of the amazing cause but mainly to help clear my conscience. £150 would be great and any small dent in the £5100 that we all hoped was going to charity would be amazing.
